Meet Our Artisans
Behind every Kind Strings creation is a pair of skilled hands and a story worth telling.
What started with just 1 artisan has now grown into a community of 50+ talented women-each bringing her own creativity, skill, and story to our journey. This growth is at the heart of what Kind Strings stands for.
Our artisans are women who craft from their homes, balancing daily responsibilities while building something of their own. For many, this work is more than income-it’s independence, confidence, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to their families.
Every product you see is made by hand-loop by loop, stitch by stitch. The small variations in each piece are not flaws, but beautiful reminders that a real person created it with care and dedication.
As we continue to grow, our goal is simple: to create more opportunities, bring more women into this journey, and build a community where craftsmanship is respected and livelihoods are strengthened.
From 1 to 50 and this is just the beginning.
When you choose Kind Strings, you’re not just buying a product- you’re supporting real stories, real skills, and real change.
This is their journey. Thank you for being a part of it.
Meet Sunena
Role: Head Artisan
Craft: Advanced Crochet & Design
She was among the first to join Kind Strings and didn’t come alone. She slowly brought together other women from her community, turning this journey into something bigger from the very beginning.
Known for taking on the most challenging designs, she is often the first to try new patterns. What others hesitate to attempt, she approaches with curiosity and determination. Over time, she has become a pillar of our artisan community.
Today, she not only creates but also teaches - guiding new artisans, helping them improve their skills, and motivating them to believe in their own potential.
Meet Shakuntala
Role: Lead Artisan & Mentor
Craft: Crochet & Macrame
Shakuntla is one of the strongest pillars of our artisan community at Kind Strings. A mother of three, she balances her home and craft with quiet dedication and consistency.
She is known for her exceptionally neat hand- every piece she creates reflects precision, patience, and care. Whether it’s crochet or macrame, her work sets a standard that others look up to.
Over time, she has naturally stepped into a leadership role. She guides other artisans, helps them improve their skills, and ensures that quality is always maintained. Many women in the group turn to her for support, making her not just a skilled artisan, but also a mentor and motivator.
Working from her home, she has built a sense of independence while inspiring others to do the same.
